2024 marks a significant milestone for the historic Glynmill Inn in Corner Brook, NL.
Officially opening on June 30, 1924, this year will mark the 100th year of operations.
The Inn was originally designed by Andrew Cobb in the early 1920s for the Armstrong-Whitworth Company of England.
The building served as living quarters for their senior staff overseeing the construction of the Corner Brook Pulp and Paper Mill.
When the paper mill became operational in 1924, the staff quarters became a hotel.
Since then, the Glynmill Inn has become a beloved landmark in Corner Brook, having hosted politicians, celebrities, and even Royalty.
With its Tudor-inspired architecture, The Glynmill Inn holds an important place in Western Newfoundland’s history. It stands proudly as Corner Brook’s most iconic building
On March 31, 2001, The Heritage Foundation of Newfoundland and Labrador designated The Glynmill Inn a Registered Heritage Structure.
